I lost you almost a year ago
And still to this day
I realize the mistake
And the bad choice that I made

I need you in my life

All the things that made me happy

I can never explain my actions
Or the horrid choices I made
I just needed a break
And too long is what this has been

You were there for me through everything
You never left my side
I was there for you in immense joy
I never left when you cried

My heart died once when I hurt you
I don't know if it ever recovered
I don't know if it ever can
I know that it needs you to save it

It needs you now more than ever.
